Data & Account Deletion
There is no account to delete
Plant Keeper Journal does not use accounts or logins. You do not create an account to use the App, and we do not keep a profile or account for you.
Your app data lives on your device
All of your plant records — photos, notes, milestones, care observations, and everything else — are stored locally on your iPhone. We do not keep a copy and have no access to this data, so deleting it is entirely in your control.
Delete specific plants or entries
Inside the App, you can remove an individual plant or entry. Deleting a plant moves it to the Compost Bin; to remove it completely, choose the permanent-delete option, which clearly warns that the plant and its history will be erased from your device.
Delete everything at once
To remove all app data, delete (uninstall) the Plant Keeper Journal app from your iPhone. Removing the App erases all of its data stored on your device. If you keep device or iCloud backups, you may also want to remove the App's data from those backups by following Apple's instructions.
Once you delete your data or uninstall the App, that data is permanently gone from your device and cannot be recovered by us — we never had a copy of it.
Deleting your email from our list
If you signed up for updates on plantkeeperjournal.com, your email address is stored on our mailing list (managed through our email provider, Kit). To have it removed:
- Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send you; or
- Email us at support@plantkeeperjournal.com and ask us to delete your address.
We will remove your email address from our list, typically within 30 days of your request.
Looking ahead
If we add optional cloud sync or accounts in a future version of the App, we will provide a clear in-app way to delete your account and any data we would then hold, and we will update this page to explain it.
